Workshop Description
In this workshop we will explore lines and marks in sketching with two different medium: Dry Twig & Chinese Ink and Graphite Pencil & Watercolour Graphite.
Learning Goals
Sketching with Dry Twigs & Chinese Ink encourages the participants to handmade their own simple sketching tools with dry twigs collected from the surrounding. Explore the three basic art elements: dots, lines and shades in sketching with the medium of Chinese ink.
Sketching with Graphite Pencil & Watercolour Graphite encourages the participants to work with free hand lines, to look for the rhythms in lines, composition and subject. Participants will also learn the art of leaving negative space in composition.
