After my breakfast i sketched this one of the tourist favorite photography spot with electric tram. It’s just two lanes next to the hostel where i stay, Inn Chiado.

I was very impress by the cityscape of Lisbon, even a view from my hostel room make me so excited and can’t wait to sketch it when i wake up early in that morning.

20160303 Arco da Rua Augusta, Lisbon
I was invited by Mario Linhares to teach a masterclass and an USk workshop (will have posts under USk Workshop blog) in early March and have the chance to visit and sketch the beautiful city of Lisbon. I manage to do 22 sketches (used 28 quarter imperial watercolour papers and 5 A4 watercolour block papers which i borrowed from fellow Sketchers, Luis Anca). Some of my bigger works were using the combine multiple papers method. I will separate all my sketches of the trip in different posts.
My first sketch of Lisbon in the first day evening of arrival. The weather was very cold especially for me from a tropical country.
